Budapest has a 3 metro lines. All lines meeting in the city centre at Deák Ferenc Tér.
You should to validate your ticket at the entrance of  metro or in buses and trams.

Tickets you can to buy near by every metro entrance. Instructions are in 3 language English, German and Hungarian.
